Are You Sure You’re Still Hungry? Here Are 6 Signs That Your Body Is Actually Full

by | Jun 22, 2024 | ARTIKEL, Healthy Article, Update

Our bodies are smart! It creates hunger to let us know it’s time to eat. It also tells us to stop eating when we’re full. But we can easily ignore the signs that our body’s had enough food while we’re busy or in the middle of doing something else.

As a result, we tend to keep eating and end up feeling too full. And if this keeps happening, our risk of obesity increases.

Do you often feel like you’re missing out on the signs that your body is already full? Read on to find out the 6 signs, so you can feel full and have better weight control!

1. Eating becomes more relaxed

When we are hungry, we tend to eat very quickly. But when we’re not that hungry anymore, the body will automatically send a signal to the brain to slow down the eating pace. When you realize you are eating more slowly, enjoy the food on your plate and prepare to stop eating.

2. Food on the plate is no longer very appealing

When you’re hungry, any food will look appealing. We can even eat things that we don’t really like. But when we’re full, even the most delicious food we’re enjoying will look less exciting.

3. You can pay more attention to other things around you

When we are hungry, our focus will only be on eating, eating, and eating. Once your body gets the food it needs, you’ll pay more attention to what’s going on around you. It could be the first time we notice the patterns on our plate, the people who are at the table next to us, or the chatter around us.

4. Sigh

When we are full, we will unconsciously let out a deep sigh. This is a signal that the body has had enough food, and we don’t need to keep eating.

5. You can think clearly

After eating a good portion, we stop thinking about anything other than food. Therefore, we can concentrate better on our tasks and be more engaged in conversations.

6. More energy without feeling full

Satiety means you’re full but not to the point where you’ll feel discomfort in your stomach. So slow down or stop eating when you are satisfied with what you have eaten, no longer feel hungry, and feel like you have energy again. If you continue, your stomach will feel tight, too full, and cramped. Instead of feeling energized, you will feel sleepy and tired.

Control hunger by staying full longer

We need to remember that satiety is not always determined by how much or how little food we consume. Sometimes we can feel satisfied with just a little bit of food. Other times, we need a larger amount of food to achieve the same satiety and satisfaction.

But for those who are on a diet, we would prefer to eat small yet filling meals. In addition to the amount of food, we need to pay attention to the type of food we consume.

Foods high in fiber will be very helpful, because this type of food is more slowly processed by the body. That way we can feel full longer and our hunger can be better controlled.

Fiber can come in the form of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. You can also get fiber from your favorite foods made with FiberCreme. This versatile, high-fiber powder can be added to a variety of dishes as an alternative to coconut milk or milk. With FiberCreme, we can enjoy delicious and healthy food at the same time.
