Mojokerto, July 25, 2024 – FiberCreme is celebrating National Children’s Day on July 23, 2024. The powdered ingredient, produced by PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo, held a #FiberRanger campaign to promote the importance of fulfilling children’s fiber needs.
Based on data from Riskesdas (Basic Health Research of Indonesia) in 2018, 9 out of 10 children in Indonesia experience fiber deficiency. On average, children aged 1-3 years can only consume 4.7 grams of fiber per day, far from the recommended amount of 19 grams of fiber per day.
Fiber deficiency is often associated with digestive problems such as constipation. Sounds trivial, but it can be very dangerous if left untreated in the long run. Feces that stay too long in the stomach can be dangerous as it will lead to chronic diseases such as colorectal cancer.
Another thing that fiber deficiency causes is weakened immune system, causing children to become more susceptible to viruses and bacteria. This happens because 70% of the body’s immune system is in the gut and its performance is highly dependent on the health of the digestive tract.
Holding a #FiberRanger Campaign
As part of its campaign, FiberCreme launched the Fiber Ranger jingle that highlights how easy it is to meet children’s fiber needs with FiberCreme. Through cheerful music and easy-to-follow dances, children are expected to be more easily and enthusiastically encouraged to eat healthy and fiber-rich foods.
In addition, FiberCreme held a special FiberCreme Recook Competition for National Children’s Day, during which participants were invited to recreate Unicorn Popsicle made from fruits. To make it healthier and tastier, FiberCreme was used as a dairy milk substitute and honey was used as a sugar alternative.
To complete the National Children’s Day celebration, FiberCreme also spread information on the importance of fiber for children through a seminar at Cikal School in Surabaya.
During the event, FiberCreme invited a doctor who educated parents and everyone in attendance about the dangers of fiber deficiency. Through cooking demonstrations by chefs, FiberCreme also showed how easy and fun it is to meet children’s fiber needs.
“Parents have been concerned about the calorie, fat, and vitamin-mineral values in food, but many still don’t understand the importance of fiber. Even though fiber is just as important as other nutrients,” said Brand Manager Rachel Vanessa about the National Children’s Day campaign.
