The Many Reasons Coffee is Actually Good For Your Health

by | Oct 5, 2018 | ARTICLE, ARTIKEL

Speaking of drinking coffee, there should be pros and cons in the society. Many say that the addictive substances in coffee are dangerous, while many others insist that coffee is actually good for your body.

And to those who are still wondering whether or not coffee is really beneficial, it’s been scientifically confirmed that coffee is actually very healthy. As pointed out by Caffeine Informer, multiple studies show that when not consumed excessively coffee could even lower risks of several dangerous health problems. So, what are the benefits?

Improve Energy Levels and Make One Smarter

Not only is the caffeine in coffee effective to keep you awake, but it will also help you feel less tired. In the brain, caffeine will block the production of a certain substance called adenosine and subsequently increase the production of norepinephrine and dopamine, resulting in the increasing energy levels as well as improved mood and memory.

Help Lose Weight

Caffeine is actually also popular for being a fat burner. Some studies show that caffeine can boost the metabolism rate about 3 to 11 percent. Other studies show that the substance can also burn fat faster, about 30 percent faster in people with obesity and 29 percent in normal people.

Lower Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

According to studies, people who have 6 or more cups of coffee each day will have 22 percent lower risk of getting type 2 diabetes, which is currently affecting more than 300 million people around the world. Supporting the finding, another research shows that the risk of someone getting type 2 diabetes decreases by 9 percent each time they have their daily cup of coffee.

Lower Risk of Heart Diseases

In a research conducted by scientists in Korea, participants who had 3 to 5 cups of coffee a day would show less early signs of any heart diseases. A more recent study in Brazil shows similar result, stating that people who have at least 3 cups of coffee a day will have less risk of developing calcification in their coronary arteries

Lower Risks of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases

Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s both top the list of the most common and still incurable neurodegenerative diseases. But it’s been proven in some studies that those who routinely consume coffee with caffeine has 65 percent less risk of getting Alzheimer’s, and has 32 to 60 percent less risk of getting Parkinson’s.

Increase Fiber Intake

The recommended intake for total fiber is between 20 to 38 grams per day for each person. And 1.8 gram of which is already fulfilled just by drinking a cup of coffee. To make things better, the amount of fiber can be increased simply by adding FiberCreme to the coffee.

FiberCreme is not just another non-dairy creamer, since it’s made of oligosaccharide which is super good for our digestion. Aside from being mixed with coffee, FiberCreme can also be added to various dishes, especially ones that use coconut milk or milk.
